About

Love God,
Love Your Neighbor As Yourself. Everything Else Flows From There.

Our Mission

Guiding people into a saving, transformational relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our Core Values

Here on Daufuskie, we love Jesus.  Because we love Jesus, we love each other.  And because we love each other, we love you!  We gather together corporately to worship each Sunday, but we seek to worship individually each day by living our lives in fellowship with one another.

Our People

Life on a bridgeless island presents a fantastic environment for living in communion with one another, as the early church did in Acts 2.  The natural environment, and the constraints that accompany dependence upon ferry service, almost push you together.

And with lives transformed by the Holy Spirit, we can more easily demonstrate the power of living together in and through the love of Christ.  We may worship together in an historic church, but we live together in God’s cathedral – Daufuskie Island.

What We Believe..

We Are God’s Creation

God made us in His image but everyone is stained by a nature of disobedience, called sin. Sin separates us from God and causes problems in our life. But God loves His creation so much that He sent His son, Jesus to save us from the eternal effects of our sin.

Jesus Died for Us

Born of a virgin, Jesus lived and walked the earth sinless and blameless. He died on a cross as a sacrifice for all of our sins. Three days later He rose from the dead to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He then ascended to Heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father, and will return to earth again to reign as King.

John 1:1-14
John 20:28

The Bible is God’s Word to Us

God used human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit to write the Bible. The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. It is inspired, infallible and inerrant.

God is the Creator and Supreme Ruler of the Universe

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal.

Genesis 1:26

Salvation Is God’s Free Gift But We Must Accept It

No amount of good deeds will wash away our sins. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as the person that paid the ultimate price for our sins can we be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-centered life and surrender it to Jesus in faith we are saved.

Ephesians 2:8-9
Galatians 2:16, 3:8

The Holy Spirit is Alive in You

The Holy Spirit is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after His Ascension, to empower God’s church and draw people into relationship with Jesus.

Joel 2:28-29
Matthew 3:11

The Holy Spirit also gives spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of biblical parameters.
